All eyes may be on Tokyo this summer but in 2022 a talented group of Special Olympics athletes will journey to Orlando, Florida for the USA Games. And you can be a part of it.
Textron Aviation is accepting applications for Cessna Citation, Beechcraft King Air, Beechcraft Premier, Beechcraft BeechJet, Hawker aircraft owners to transport Special Olympic athletes and coaches to and from the USA Games. With athletes and coaches around the US, pilots have a wide range of pick-up locations. They will then deliver their assigned athletes and coaches at the Orlando Executive (KORL) airport.
Participating pilots will receive an SOA decal and a medallion for their plane. Specific information about their assigned athlete, dates, and times will arrive in May 2022.
Special Olympics supports over five million athletes in more than one-hundred-seventy countries. The organization provides meaningful training and competition opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities. For the first time, Special Olympics USA Games will be held in Florida in 2022.
